I believe that most retrievers have the natural abilities. It's just a matter of bringing it out in them. Generally if you can figure out a way to communicate with them what you want them to do, they will do it just to please you.
The first time I will require your dog to stay with me for three months for "basic" training. This includes, but not limited to, the "force-fetch retrieve" and "collar conditioning". Each dog progresses at it's own speed, so it is possible, if your dog is a fast learner that he will get much further along than the basics.
The amount of time it takes for the advanced training can vary from dog to dog, depending on how "advanced" you would like your dog to be.
I will work with you when it is time for your dog to go home, so that you will know as much as the dog does!
I will also be available in the following months to answer any questions and offer suggestions on future training.
